Stephan Jenn, President

Stephan Jenn is a graduate from l'École Supérieure de Commerce de Rouen and received his MBA from University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Business School. Before founding PhytoDia, Stephan Jenn was Vice President of Corporate Development at Graffinity Pharmaceuticals (now Santhera Pharmaceuticals, Heidelberg, Germany). Previously he was co-founder of a US e-health company pioneering the patent licensing and business development process in the genomic and proteomic industries. Mr. Jenn also adds over 6 years of international corporate finance experience having worked as Engagement Director for Mazars in Paris then in Frankfurt. He is currently President of Novalix, a private company and contract research organization specialized in organic chemistry and structural biology.

Régis Saladin, PhD, Chief Executive Officer & Chief Scientific Officer

Régis Saladin received his PhD in Biology, Life and Health Sciences from the University of Lille and performed his thesis research studies at the Pasteur Institute of Lille working on the influence of nutritional and pharmacological factors on the development of metabolic diseases. Before founding PhytoDia, Dr. Saladin acquired over 10 years of drug discovery and project management experience in the pharmaceutical industry at Ligand Pharmaceuticals Inc. (San Diego, USA), laboratoires Fournier (Dijon, France) and at CareX (Strasbourg, France).

Annelise Lobstein, PhD, Phytochemistry Consultant

Annelise Lobstein received her PhD in Pharmacy in 1983 and in Sciences in 1985 at the University Louis Pasteur (Strasbourg, France). Her expertise cover pharmaco-chemical studies on natural substances, tracability of complex vegetal extracts, the identification of active components through bio-guidage. Annelise Lobstein is a professor of pharmacognosy and in charge of a research team working on pharmacognosy and bioactive natural molecules at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Strasbourg. She collaborates with industrial partners to develop vegetal extracts in the pharmaceutical, cosmetical and agronomic domains. She has published more than 50 papers in peer reviewed scientific journals and has performed more than 60 communications in international congress. Annelise Lobstein is a founder of PhytoDia.

Alain Wagner, PhD, Chemistry Consultant

Alain Wagner received his PhD in Organic Chemistry in 1991 from the University Louis Pasteur (Strasbourg, France). Dr. Wagner was a post-doctoral fellow with Prof P. Schultz at Affymax Research Institute (Palo Alto, USA). Dr. Wagner then worked as a Research Director at CNRS where he managed a group of 15 researchers. His work focused on the development of methodologies in organic synthesis, new catalysts and screening methods with particular interest for drug discovery as well as process chemistry. During his academic years, Dr. Wagner acquired a big experience in research collaboration between public laboratories and the industry. He has published more than 80 papers in peer reviewed scientific journals and is inventor of 15 patents. Dr. Wagner founded Novalyst in 2003 where he worked as Chief Scientific Officer and is currently leading the Bio-organic synthesis research laboratory at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Strasbourg. Alain Wagner is a founder of PhytoDia.

Johan Auwerx, MD, PhD, Pharmacology Consultant

Johan Auwerx received his MD in 1982 and his PhD in Molecular Endocrinology in 1989 from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium). Pr. Auwerx is expert in endocrinology, metabolism, and nutrition and is a member of the EMBO since 2003. Johan Auwerx is currently leading a research laboratory at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) where he also teach as a professor. Pr. Auwerx is a worldknown expert in the field of metabolic diseases, molecular biology and genetic in the mouse. His work was instrumental in the discovery of Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptor agonists, drugs currently used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Johan Auwerx is a founder of PhytoDia.
